Siena Tavern: A Culinary Gem in Chicago Blending Italian and New American Flavors

Family and I went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. Cristian H our server was FANTASTIC! A+++ He was knowledgeable about the menu and patient as it was some our first time here. I had the Brick Chicken w/ potatoes, my wife had the Truffle Mushroom Pizza, my mother-in-law and sister in-law had the Roasted Salmon w/ Cauliflower Formaggio. Lastly, my brother in-law had the 22oz. Ribeye. Let me tell you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was bad! Everything was EXCELLENT!. The chicken was juicy (all pieces) and the sticky parm. potatoes were well seasoned, not oily and not over-powered with parmesan cheese. Right amount of crunch, just tasty. It was probably the first time in a longggg time that my brother in-law's steak was the correct temperature. Even the drinks were great. I had the Frozen Mint Limoncello and my wife had The Imposter. We all ate and finished our food! No leftovers here. Surprisingly, we were offered dessert due to my wife's birthday. That took was ALL by total surprise. That was a nice touch and we thanked Christian immensely. We all said, we definitely will be back. A+++ "Gone....." -JV

Beautiful restaurant with even better food! We came here for a family gathering and the food and drinks were amazing. Our server was kind and completely on top of every request. I couldn't even picture all the food because we ate it up so fast haha. I would absolutely come back here next time I'm in Chicago. We also happened to run into friends who were here for a birthday dinner date. I love how intimate your table can still feel for such a busy restaurant.

This restaurant has great service and a wonderful fine dining experience! The rigatoni was really good and was surprisingly filling! I do wish they put more burrata, however, as it felt that there was barely any. The cauliflower was very well cooked, and had a great crispy texture which the sauce on the side went really well with.

Haven't been since pre covid, it's got the same good vibe that I remember, decor is the same. It's a bustling place with Euro EDM in the background. Service from the bartender was solid. Siena Chopped salad is a good choice that won't bust your budget. The place is a little more upscale than many surrounding joints.

Have you ever had a dish so good you want to eat it quickly but you decide to take it slow and savor it? That was my lasagna at Siena, with a good Super Tuscan wine to complement. Service was good, as was ambience . I am coming back for more.

As with many of Fabio Viviani's concepts, Siena Tavern aims to exceed expectations and elevate simple dishes. On these two points, they succeed swimmingly. Aside from the absolutely delicious appetizers, pizza, and pasta, Siena Tavern served up stimulating conversation with its bar staff, keeping us entertained all through our meal.

My boyfriend and I came here for drinks and apps. We both had the Espresso Martinis and Burrata they were good. Our server Armando was friendly and made sure everything was great. He made the Espresso Martinis and did a good job. We had been before when it was crowded and we sat outside. This time we sat inside and it wasn't crowded which it perfect. If you haven't been here, put it on your list of restaurants to visit. Also, we had Butternut Squash Soup.

Siena Tavern is a very fun and cute restaurant in the River North neighborhood. I came here with some friends for dinner this week and even on a Tuesday evening it was bustling! Definitely a great place for good vibes, food and drinks. I really wanted pasta so I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka. This is a very filling dish! My friend ordered the brick chicken and it looked so good and juicy! If you are looking for something to share the caramelized Brussels sprouts are delicious ! We were too stuffed to get dessert, however the options looked great. So next time I am looking forward to also ordering one of the yummy desserts ! Great spot for dinner or drinks! Check it out!
